Situations in which you would want to use the Subdivision Reversion plugin: When you deleted the history of a model with smooth aplied. When you import a subdivided model and have no way of going back to the base object. When you bright a model that has been subdivided in ZBrush, Mudbox, 3ds Max etc. into Maya. Subdivision Reversion works with the 2008/2009/2010/2011/2012 (32 & 64 Bit) Windows version of Maya. Mac and Linux are not currently supported.
